Lying Barbell Triceps Extension

Set up
Lie securely and hold the bar above the shoulders with a comfortable grip.
Execute
Bend the elbows to lower the bar toward or just behind the head.
Extend the elbows while keeping the upper arms controlled.
Coaching cues
- Hinge at the elbows.
- Keep wrists stacked.
Common mistakes
- Allowing the elbows to flare suddenly.
- Lowering toward the face without control.
