Bodyweight Hip Hinge
A secondary hinge movement for hamstrings, glutes.

Set up
Set up in a clear space and inspect every contact point before starting.
Execute
Soften the knees, send the hips backward with a long spine, then stand tall.
Complete the final repetition with the same controlled range, then exit the position safely.
Coaching cues
- Close the car door with the hips.
- Use a repeatable, pain-free range.
Common mistakes
- Turning the movement into a squat.
- Continuing after position, control, or equipment security is lost.
