Barbell Lateral Lunge
A secondary lunge movement for glutes, quadriceps.

Set up
Prepare the barbell lateral lunge station and choose a load that permits full control.
Execute
Step laterally with room for the hip to sit back
Complete the final repetition with the same controlled path, then return the load safely.
Coaching cues
- Keep the planted foot flat
- Use a repeatable pain-free range.
Common mistakes
- Letting the knee collapse inward
- Adding load after position or control is lost.
